The health benefits of basil essential oil include its ability to treat nausea, motion sickness, indigestion, constipation, respiratory problems, and diabetes. It is also a good source of Vitamin A, magnesium, potassium, iron, and calcium. Basil was widely used in ancient times in India for various medicinal purposes to treat diarrhoea, cough, mucous discharges, and certain skin diseases.

Use basil to treat nervous tension, anxiety, mental fatigue, melancholy, migraines, epilepsy and depression. Basil helps to provide mental strength and clarity.

Contraindications: Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding and on sensitive skin.
